MINUTE by MINUTE
(2014)
Minute-by-minute investigate data sets generated by everyday,
self-occurrences through ceramic materials. The projects codify personal experiences in an abstract and depersonalized manner, catalyzing the extended rhythms involved in creative practice. Both the work and their processes establish a rich setting for investigating notions of everyday life.
Minute-by-Minute records the hours of three days, chronicling and
re-contextualizing daily activities, from waking to sleeping, focusing on the minutia of those experiences from minute to minute.
The work subtly remarks upon the difficulty that arises in attempting to understand the complexity of experiences and their interconnections with individual and environment.
